Review Galaxy Nexus 16GB Sim Free Smartphone

A big leap in quality, speed and slickness for Android phones.
I received the Samsung Galaxy Nexus about an hour ago. These are my first impressions & I will add to the review as I become more accustomed to the phone.

SETUP
I've upgraded from another Android phone (the HTC/Google Nexus). All I needed to do was take the SIM out of the old phone, snap the back off the Galaxy Nexus, install the SIM and battery and refit...

Overpriced and Underperforms
Upgraded to this phone from my Nexus S. I have used Android phones for a while now with the G1, Dell Streak, HTC Desire, Xperia X10, Samsung Galaxy S2 (briefly) and Motorola Xoom.

Firstly Ice Cream Sandwich is amazing. Its a great leap forward from Gingerbread and feels much more like Honeycomb on my Xoom than Gingerbread on my Nexus S. Buy ICS will soon be...

Ok it may not have FLASH, but can i able to access the websites that i can buy goods to be delivered? YES!!

If you have got the WIFI version then that's far better cause you saved money from the WIFI+3G VERSION.

Best Review Acer Iconia Tab A200

Review Acer Iconia Tab A200

3.0 stars Good
$299.00 to $329.99
Review Date:

Average User Rating

3.5 stars 4 user reviews
The good: The Acer Iconia Tab A200 has the lowest price yet of any post-Honeycomb 10-inch tablet. It also has expandable memory options, a full USB port, and a well-designed, grippy back, and is upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich. While running Honeycomb we saw poor Wi-Fi performance, but performance greatly improved when we upgraded to ICS.
The bad: Other than ICS upgradability, there's really nothing particularly special about the A200. There's only one, low-quality front-facing camera and no back camera. There's also no HDMI. Acer Ring, an app and bookmark hub, is slow to start and doesn't make launching apps more efficient.
The bottom line: The Acer Iconia Tab A200 delivers an appealingly low price, but makes some key sacrifices to get there.
Set price alert

There's really nothing special about the Acer Iconia Tab A200. Sure, it's ICS-upgradable, but both the Motorola Xoom and Asus Transformer Prime have already beat it to that particular punch.
Also, while it features the bare-minimum capabilities of all other post-Honeycomb Android tablets, it actually loses two features many Android tablet owners take for granted: a rear camera and an HDMI port.
Still, it can be yours for only $330 (for the 8GB model; $350 for 16GB), making it the cheapest noncontract buy-in to Honeycomb/ICS yet.
Whether that distinction actually makes it special enough to buy is up to you and your needs.
Design
The Iconia Tab A200 marks Acer's third major tablet design after the A500/A501 and A100 releases. Compared with the A500/A501, the A200 is slightly thinner and lighter, with a sleeker, less boxy look.

Acer Iconia Tab A200 Acer Iconia Tab A501 Asus Transformer Prime Samsung Galaxy 10.1
Weight in pounds 1.56 1.7 1.32 1.24
Width in inches (landscape) 10.2 10.2 10.3 10.1
Height in inches 6.9 6.9 7.1 6.9
Depth in inches 0.48 0.49 0.32 0.34
Side bezel width in inches (landscape) 0.69 0.77 0.8 0.8
The tablet has a 10.1-inch capacitive touch screen, with a 2-megapixel camera on the front. Unfortunately, there's no back camera, a fact sure to disappoint those accustomed to dual-camera tablets. And by "those," I mean pretty much everyone.
The A200 sports what's probably the most adhesive back I've seen or rather felt on a tablet, doing an effective job of keeping the tablet firmly in my hands. The tablet is available in two different color schemes: a gray-backed version and one with a strawberry-red back.

Dat grippy back!
Tablets with corners that don't dig into your hands as you hold them always earn points on the comfort scale. The A200, with its smooth, rounded corners, is comfortable to hold over extended periods and likely won't give you blisters.
For connections, the A200 has Micro-USB and full USB, and a microSD card slot (for cards of up to 32GB) is concealed behind a small door. It also has a headphone jack, a volume rocker, a rotation lock switch, a power/lock button, and a small pinhole-style AC adapter input hole. Unlike the A500, it doesn't have a Micro-HDMI port, unfortunately.

I like expandable memory as much as the next guy, but does it really deserve its own special little door? Pfft!
Software features
Acer is known for including its own unique software touches in its tablets, and the A200 is no exception. From the lock screen, Acer adds the option of swiping to one of four customizable app shortcuts--useful for getting to those much-used apps quickly.
The A200 also sees the debut of Acer Ring, an app shortcut and carousel-like bookmark hub that appears after you tap the green ring symbol at the bottom of the screen. Each bookmark or app is completely customizable, allowing you to include up to four apps and as many bookmarks as you like.
While this would seem useful, accessing apps the normal way is already so quick and easy that adding an extra step puts you that much further from your goal. To be fair, we're talking about mere seconds here, but it does add up.
Clear.fi and Media Server work in tandem to aggregate media on your network and stream media to and from the A200.
Ice Cream Sandwich
The tablet comes preinstalled with Honeycomb 3.2.1 and is upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). ICS is the latest version of Android and is more of an evolution of Honeycomb than something that feels completely different. There are a few notable differences, however.
UI and widgets: On the home screen, Google has slightly changed the way we access widgets. Honeycomb had a little shortcut at the top of the screen, or you could press and hold the home screen, but now widgets have been grouped with apps.
Tapping the apps shortcut now brings you to a dual apps-and-widgets section, each with its own tab. Also, swiping through your apps will eventually bring you to widgets. This change is subtle; widgets now feel less hidden and more important than before because of it.
One of the most annoying things about Honeycomb notifications is the way they can pile up, requiring you to close each individual one to get rid of them. Fortunately, ICS lets you kill them all in one fell swoop and let the tablet gods sort it out. Also, instead of simply showing you the last message you've received, ICS consolidates all mail notifications into one, displaying the number of new messages you have.
Settings: With settings you'll notice right off the bat that things are subtly different, with no real huge changes, just a few useful refinements. Options have now been split into four sections: Wireless and networks, Device, Personal, and System. Some features that were crammed in with others in Honeycomb now have their own sections.

Review Apple 11 inch MacBook Air (Dual-Core i5,1.6GHz,4GB,128GB Flash,HD Graphics Cheap

First Mac... but will not be my last!!
I am not going to go into any technical details as there are a whole host of reviews that can be uncovered by a simple google search, instead I want to concentrate more on the "feel" of the Air

First impressions are... wow. I had tested one in the Apple store several times, but it is hard to appreciate its size and portability until you own one. I seem to...

Buyer beware...
It's a beautiful thing, but as a portable device it just don't work. Half the time it won't connect to WiFi at all, the rest of the time it drops the WiFi and refuses to reconnect without a very great deal of messing about. It also seems to interfere with the wireless router and interrupt signal to the other sweet faultless PCs around the house. Assumed it was a one-off,...

Brit Pop Star Leona Lewis (Re-)Lists West Coast Abode

SELLER: Leona Lewis
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
PRICE: $2,500,000
SIZE: 3,946 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: British singer and songwriter Leona Lewis rocketed to (European) super stardom in 2006 when she won the third season of X Factor, a wildly popular televised singing contest and the British pre-curser to American Idol.

The following year the PETA-friendly and gorgeously tawny-skinned songstress signed a five-album contract with L.A.-based music industry icon Clive Davis, reported at the time to be worth somewhere in the vicinity of $10,000,000. Like anyone else with a brains and bills would do for ten million clams, she packed her bags and crossed the pond to make a record or two in Tinseltown. The Simon Cowel protogee first settled—an informant snitched to Your Mama ages ago—into a rented house in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles. In September 2009 she opted to sink some real estate roots in Los Angeles and acquired a privately but still conveniently located property in the Nichols Canyon area in September 2009 for $1,850,000.

Like many rich and/or famous folks, Miss Lewis soon caught a mild but classic case of The Celebrity Real Estate Fickle and last summer, not even two years after signing on the deed's dotted line, put her west coast abode on the open market with a substantially higher asking price of $2,500,000. The two-story residence with detached guest suite went unsold and late June (2012) it was de-listed only to be re-listed this week with a very familiar—and, well,  previously ineffective—asking price of $2,500,000.

Listing information shows the architecturally questionable contempo-mock-Med main house—set high up a private, gated drive at the tail end of a private, gated street—was built in 1999 on nearly three-quarters of an acre, measures in at 3,946 square feet and contains 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 4 fireplaces. A detached structure creates a mini-compound with single car garage offers additional living space with a bedroom, bathroom and home gym set up.

The mostly monochromatic white interior spaces of the main house have a mix of buff-colored marble tile and chestnut-colored hardwood floors. Most windows, large and small, appear to be fitted with white, heavy-duty plantation shutters. The voluminous living room was anachronistically outfitted with a Chevy-sized crystal chandeliers we can get our decorative mind around and weirdly classical (dentil) moldings that we can not.

Children, this is a mock-Med contemporary structure—whatever that is—and the thick, dentil molding and ceiling medallion make the living room look like its doing bad drag, you know? Poor thing is bustled up and dripping in (fake) diamonds in the heat of a Santa Fe summer when she ought to be wearing linen palazzo pants and a big turqwahz brooch.

Anyhoo, the black, gleaming baby grand in the living room is to be expected—Miss Lewis is, after all, a pop music chanteuse who can surely sing like nobody's bizness—but we're just gonna have to pretend we do not see those gigantic, carved stone angel wings that stand on either side of the fireplace lest we hissy fit ourselves into a decorative conniption of epic proportions.

There's another fireplace and another crystal chandelier in the formal dining room otherwise dressed with little more than a few mirrored candlesticks (or whatever those are) and a half-dozen, white-washed Louis the Something-style cane-backed chairs. A sizable, center island and cook-friendly kitchen has a handy-dandy snack and booze counter and opens to a breakfast area with glittery crystal chandelier hung over a modern, white lacquer Parson's table. The adjoining family room done up in what we might (unnecessarily and cattily) describe as a dash of Marie Antoinette meets a soupçon too much Shabby Sheek.

Based on Miss Lewis's chosen day-core in the public spaces—kinda pared down and decidedly glam-romantic—we weren't even mildly startled to find a four poster bed in the spacious master bedroom hung with gauzy panels nor did it shock us even a teensy bit the roomy master bathroom—with jetted tub and separate, glass-enclosed shower—is almost entirely slathered in beige travertine or marble or whatever.

We're even less surprised—but, we confess, mortified—to find a small collection of kneeling and/or bowing angel figurines set around the swimming pool. Sorry, Charlies. Call us every awful name in the good book but Your Mama just does not think angels and/or angel-related objet are appropriate day-core unless you live in a still-consecrated house of worship.

French doors in both the breakfasting area of the kitchen and the family room open directly out to the backyard entertainment areas that include, as per listing information, a built-in barbecue. The swimming pool and spa are backed by a (probably faux-) stone waterfall and thicket of tropical landscaping. A narrow strip of grass and stone pathway (with fountain) hugs the back of the house and connects a swimming pool area to a small, flat grass pad at the far end of the house, near the motor court, two-car (attached) garage and detached guest house.

We haven't even a wee morsel of intel about whether Miss Lewis plans to keep a crib in Tinseltown but perhaps she's ready to hightail it back home where various online reports suggest Miss Lewis maintains a home base in the London borough of Hackney.

Geffen Gets Rich Penthouse

BUYER: David Geffen
SELLER: Denise Rich
LOCATION: New York City, NY
PRICE: $54,000,000
SIZE: 12,000 square feet, 7 bedrooms, 9 full and 2 half bathrooms

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Brace yourselves, butter beans, because the big money real estate shit is going down again in New York City where soon-to-be ex-American Denise Rich has reportedly cut a deal to sell her titanic duplex penthouse to none other than L.A.-based billionaire David Geffen.

According to the Page Six peeps at the New York Post Mister Geffen will shell out $54,000,000 for the (mc)mansion-sized Fifth Avenue aerie Miz Rich heaved and hoed onto the open market in January (2012) with a $65,000,000 price tag.

The super-sized penthouse—two full floors with a 3,000-plus square foot roof terrace—spans 12,000 square feet and in its current, somewhat Byzantine configuration, as per the floor plan included with current marketing materials, includes 4-7 bedrooms including a cell-sized staff room on the lower floor, 9 full and 2 half bathrooms; a 1,200 square foot "grand salon" with panoramic city and park views; library with wet bar and fireplace; a 30-foot long media room on the lower floor with adjoining billiard room; six, park-view planting terraces (plus the massive roof terrace); three kitchens; and a park-view fitness room complete with sauna, steam shower and bidet.

Unidentified sources told The Post the large-livin' Dreamworks co-founder "will take up to two years" on extensive renovation and reconfiguration that will include the removal of Miz Rich's state-of-the-art, at-home recording studio.

Current listing information shows the building allows for 50% financing—although we imagine Mister Geffen has the dough to pay all cash iffin he wanted to—and the monthly maintenance and cooperative common charges are shown at $25,000 per month.

Mister Geffen already owns a recently renovated, two-unit combo spread at The Parq Cinq—a white glove cooperative building originally designed by Emory Roth (that does not allow dogs)—he picked up (off-market) in February 2010 for $14,170,000 from Robert Daly and Carole Bayer Sager.

Mister Geffen is hardly a stranger to mouth-dryingly expensive New York City real estate. In February 2006 he spent $31,500,000 to buy a duplex penthouse pad at the impossibly swank 810 Fifth Avenue. The 5,000-ish square foot penthouse was once part of Nelson Rockefeller's original triplex that got split up with he and Mary Tod Rockefeller divorced in the early 1960s. He bought the penthouse from private equity pasha John Foster and flipped just over a year later, in May 2007, for $37,842,187 to multi-billionaire Blackstone Group co-founder Pete Peterson.

Mister Geffen also owns the legendary 10-acre Jack Warner estate in Beverly Hills, CA (plus at least one, much smaller residence, also in the 90210) and an ocean front compound on Malibu's Carbon Beach (plus a smaller Carbon Beach house a few doors down bought from restaurateur Peter Morton in 2008 for $9,800,000).

Miz Rich made all the papers earlier this week when it was announced she would surrender her U.S. citizenship and passport in order to settle down somewhere in Europe where her children live and where she'll likely be able to engineer a more advantageous tax situation to protect her fortune.

Real Estate Run Down: Jeff Greene

Several weeks ago Your Mama heard word through the Platinum Triangle Real Estate Gossip Grapevine that one of Tinseltown's busiest and most successful lady-agents had inked a deal to list a Beverly Hills, CA estate with a screeching (if not entirely unheard of) $150,000,000 asking price.

Naturally, the sky-high rumored price pricked up our ears.

Before too long another always well-informed little birdie, one who very successfully purveys pricey properties in Los Angeles, snitched to Your Mama that world on the real estate street is that the Beverly Hills estate in question is none other than the so-called Palazzo di Amore, a palace-proportioned, mock-Med mega mansion on more than 25 acres just a few minutes up a heavily-trafficked canyon road from Rodeo Drive.

Many of the children will not be automatically familiar with Palazzo di Amore but anyone who cares a limp shred about Platinum Triangle* real estate knows the extravagant spread is owned by billionaire Jeff Greene, a real estate tycoon and well-connected playboy turned husband and family man turned unsuccessful senate candidate.

*The Platinum Triangle, a colloquial term for the high-priced L.A. zip code nexus of Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Holmby Hills.

Various reports available online indicate Mister Greene purchased the multi-parcel estate and its monumentally-scaled residential éclat out of foreclosure in early 2007 for around $35,000,000. Construction on the Bob Ray Offenhauser-designed monster-manse was not complete at the time of the purchase and at least one report suggests Mister Green spent an additional $15,000,000 on construction, finishes, enlargements, landscaping, furnishings and etc.

We're not sure who completed the construction work but prior to Mister Greene's purchase the massive mansion was being built by Hadid Development, a hotel and mega mansions construction concern owned by Mohamed Hadid. Reality tee-vee watchers will recognize Mister Hadid as the high-flying fellow who sometimes appears on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, usually with his nearly mute and much younger girlfriend in tow, and who just put a 48,000 square foot, spec-built beast of a mansion—one pompously dubbed Le Palais—in Beverly Hills on the market with an asking price of $58,000,000.

Anyhoo, in 2007 Mister Greene—well known amongst famous folks, globe trotting party goers and Vanity Fair readers as a somewhat eccentric and fast-living bachelor—settled down with a much younger real estate executive from New York named Mei-Sze Chan. The couple were married at Palazzo di Amore in a wedding reported to have cost a million dollars, give or take. Mike Tyson served as best man—yikes!—and the 275 guests danced the night away on a revolving platform in the estate's massive 24-car (detached) garage—double yikes!

At just about the same time Mister Greene romanced and hitched his wagon to that of Miss Chan his net worth ballooned exponentially to over a billion bucks due to a series of shrewd and well-timed bets against the sub-prime mortgage market and the inflated real estate bubble. That's right, Mister Greene is one of the few folks who profited prolifically as the U.S. economy tanked dramatically between 2007 and 2009. Forbes estimated his net worth stands (as of March 2012) at around $2.1 billion.

Mister Greene, always a real estate wheeler-dealer and long a resident of Los Angeles, quickly began to spend his new-found billions on a slew of high-priced properties in Palm Beach, New York City and the Hamptons.

He also spent a couple tens of millions of his own money in 2010 on a splashy and—let's be honest—wacky, carpetbagger bid in Florida as a Democrat for a seat the U.S. Senate. He lost in the primaries but the he and the missus, who now have a couple of young children, still spend the majority of their time in south Florida.

In October 2009 the property gossip gals at The Wall Street Journal reported Mister and new Missus Greene lived primarily in a Miami, FL condo and that the couple felt Palazzo di Amore (above) "is too lavish for him and his wife to occupy full-time."

Their deepening real estate roots in Florida may (or may not) have something to do with Mister and Missus Greene's ongoing efforts to lease the property. The opulent and unabashedly palatial property currently appears on the open market as a fully-furnished rental available for immediate occupancy with an asking price of $195,000 per month. At some previous point, the compound-like property had been listed at $250,000 per month (short term) and $150,000 per month (long term) and current listing information states "a lease option to purchase will be considered."

Listing information (and reports from around the time of Mister Greene's purchase) show the gargantuan, gated compound has a quarter mile long driveway, a series of connected motor courts and a collection of contemporized, quasi-Mediterranean structures that include a gate house; (approx.) 43,000 square foot main house with a 6,000 square foot ballroom, 11 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms; an (approx.) 12,000 square foot pool house/entertainment pavilion; and (approx.) 8,000 square foot guest house with its own motor court and party-sized spa with canyon and city views.

Deep, shaded loggias along the back of the house extend the interior living areas out toward the flush-edge infinity swimming pool, long enough to have ten super-plush sunbathing loungers lined up along one side. A separate and raise circular spa looks large enough to host a gaggle of scantily clad guests. The swimming pool and terrace drops off to six acres of terraced vineyards that produce 400 cases of wine annually.

listing photos: Dream Home Photo for Coldwell Banker Previews International

So the story goes, back in 2007, while Missus Greene bride-stepped towards her groom, swans swam along side her in the extraordinarily long and thin reflecting pond (above, top left) set into a wide runway of grass that juts out from the back of the house towards a domed wrought iron pergola—a folly, if you will.

Now children, use yer noggins. This business about Mister and Missus Greene signing the necessary documents to officially list Palazzo di Amore with a $150,000,000 asking price ain't nuthin' but high-end real estate rumor and gossip at this point. Rumor and gossip.

What isn't so much rumor and gossip is the oft-reported on, pocketbook punishing property shopping spree Mister and Missus Greene have been on the last few years.

In 2008 the notorious playboy and his new (and first) missus dropped $3,100,000 on 4,000-ish square foot condo at the Murano Grande at Portofino in the South of Fifth 'hood in South Beach. They sold the ocean view condo crib for $3,400,000 in July 2011, less than a year after they coughed up $24,000,000 for La Bellucia, a quirkily elegant and historic, 12,000 square foot mansion on 2.8 ocean front acres in the old money (cum hedge funder) enclave of Palm Beach, FL, designed by Addison Mizner and originally built in 1920.

As of last December, the Greene clan was reportedly ensconced in six suites at The Omphoy Ocean Resort in Palm Beach, a 134-room, ocean front boo-teek hotel bought out of foreclosure last year by—you got it—Mister Greene for somewhere around $42,000,000. The somewhat peripatetic family plans to camp out at The Omphoy while La Bellucia undergoes (what we imagine will be an extensive and expensive) restoration, renovation and customization.

In April 2011 Mister Greene dropped $26,271,375 on a 6-story, cast-iron structure with 43,706 square feet of interior space on New York City's Wooster Street. We have no idea if Mister Greene has plans to convert all or any portion of the building into a private residence for he and his family.

Just about a month later he shelled out $36,000,000 for Tyndal Point (above), a sprawling, 55-acre spread in the Hamptons (near Sag Harbor) with 3,000 feet of water frontage; multiple, long and sandy private beaches; three fairly modest residences, including a glassy, low-slung contemporary set near the water's edge; two carriage houses; and two deep water docks, perfect for parking his infamous, 145-foot party-yacht Summerwind.

Back on the west coast Mister Greene still owns his bachelor pad, a 10,466-plus square foot mansion privately perched on a gated, 2-ish acre promontory with 270-degree views over the Sunset Street. Property records show he picked up the property in early 2002 for just $1,575,000.

Listing information for the sprawling, multi-wing mansion, currently for sale at $8,999,000, shows there are 6 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, 2 dog runs, one dance club, 1,000 bottle wine cellar, home theater, fitness facility, and 4-story elevator. The resort-style, lagoon-like swimming pool and spa is surrounded by meandering, charity party-sized terraces with the quintessential jet-liner view over Los Angeles.

Fun fact: Sometime after she got out of jail in the late 90s former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss stayed here with then-single Mister Greene as a house guest, for an entire year. He told the folks at Forbes back in October 2008, despite how it may look, they were "not dating."

It's ironic, ain't it, that a man who does not want to live at Palazzo di Amore because it's too grand now owns a 24,000 square foot mansion in Palm Beach (plus a hotel and the old post office building), a multi-residence compound on 55 acres in the Hamptons and a six story building in downtown Manhattan.

Review A1CS 10.1" A10 CAPACITIVE MULTI-TOUCH 8GB TABLET, FLASH 11,SUPPORTS IPLAYER, ANDROID 2.3, WIFI, MIFI, HDMI, 2160P WITH CAM

I bought this tablet after a fair bit of research on the various Android tablet forums. For the price difference between this capacitive multitouch version and the cheaper resistive variety, it was worth paying the small extra amount to get the capactive version.

The tablet itself is sturdy and well built, it certainly doesnt feel "cheap" and its not excessively heavy, I have no issues holding in one hand whilst reading. If you have used an Apple iPad the first thing you'll notice is this tablet looks a bit like a deformed narrow iPad - the screen is a netbook style 1024x600 widescreen LCD whereas an ipad is 1024x768 4:3 display. Because the LCD screen used in the A1CS tablet is designed to be used in landscape only, when rotated to portrait which a lot of Android apps force, the screen is hard to read. This is particularly apparent on a black background, the BBC News app in portrait mode causes eye strain after a while.

The capacitive multitouch touchscreen is very good and definately recommended. However, as some have noted on the reviews for the resistive version of this tablet, it is fine when running on battery, and near-unusable when connected to the mains charger! A quick play with the touchscreen diagnostic app shows that when connected to the charger, the detected finger position jumps around all over the place. As soon as the charger is disconnected the touchscreen becomes accurate. The internal battery though is good so with a bit of planning its easy to avoid using whilst on charge. I have managed around 4 - 5 hours continuous web browsing from a fully charged battery. Wifi reception is as good on this as I get on my iPhone 3GS. Amusingly includes an in-built stylus which cannot be used on a capacitive screen, presumably a hang-over from the original resistive design................

Review A1CS X220 TABLET 10.2" ANDROID 2.2, WIFI, MIFI, HDMI, 1080P, GPS WITH CAM

Excellent piece of kit.
I did some serious research into the Tablet market before deciding to buy the A1CS X220 Android Tablet some ten days ago. It seemed to offer everything I wanted - book reader, internet, email, MP3 player, photo and video viewer, and at a price I was prepared to pay. And it has proved to do all these things and more - I really am pleased and impressed with this product. It...

Tablet was disappointing, but I agree the seller was excellent
The tablet arrived 2 days after ordering and I was very impressed with the packaging as well as the free screen protector, case, keyboard and free memory card.

The tablet felt solid and robust but light. After charging the boot up was about 50 - 55 seconds. I was happy with the system appps but the moment I connected to the web (wirelessly) things seem to go...

Review GOOGLE NEXUS S UNLOCKED CELL PHONE

Going gaga for Google
POSITIVE: Android Gingerbread - endless customization- fast, next to no lag- vibrant, colourful display

NEGATIVES:No SD card slot- Android market still needs a LOT of work- applying screen protectors to the contour screen is hell

Had a HTC Desire HD before; loved Android, hated the phone, was just too massive. Bought an iPhone 4; was blissful in a...

Beware, if you want the Nexus S with the superb AMOLED dispaly, the UK market is being flooded with grey imports, which have the inferior LCD display. The UK spec phone with the AMOLED display is known as the i9020.
The cheaper imports are known as the i9023, they look identical.
I bought the AMOLED version from a large UK web supplier (not this one) and found...
